Role Overview
This position is responsible for managing and improving a group of affiliate partners so their contribution supports stronger financial results, sustainable growth, and better decision-making at management and board level. The role blends performance evaluation, partner relationship management, and alignment with the parent company’s strategy to ensure affiliate investments serve broader business and profitability goals.
Portfolio Optimization
- Establish and roll out a disciplined framework to manage the affiliate portfolio.
- Review each affiliate’s performance, profitability, and fit with the overall business portfolio.
- Carry out recurring portfolio assessments to measure return on investment, spot weak performers, and put corrective measures in place.
Affiliate Relationship Management
- Act as a primary strategic advisor and contact for important affiliate partners.
- Develop stronger long-term partnerships with affiliates, agencies, and networks to encourage shared growth.
Financial and Performance Analysis
- Examine portfolio-wide financial outcomes, including revenue contribution, margins, and lifetime value.
- Create and maintain dashboards and financial models to track KPIs and project future returns.
- Deliver analytical insights and recommendations to senior leaders regarding investment priorities and the financial condition of the affiliate portfolio.
Risk and Compliance Oversight
- Identify and manage portfolio risks such as over-dependence, compliance issues, and market shifts.
- Make sure affiliates follow brand, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Design action plans to reduce the impact of performance or compliance-related risks.
Strategic Collaboration
- Work closely with finance, marketing, and strategy teams to keep affiliate performance aligned with company goals.
- Contribute to strategic efforts such as expansion into new markets, partner mix diversification, and performance-based incentive structures.
- Present portfolio findings to senior stakeholders, emphasizing opportunities, threats, and strategic direction.
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Business and Management, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline is required. The role calls for 6 to 8 years of experience in affiliate management, business development, or portfolio management.
