Role overview
In this position, you will support the Operations Controller with flight-plan creation, pre-flight briefings, Flight Watch, and the coordination of diplomatic permits. Your work will need to balance business priorities with destination-specific regulations, operational safety, efficiency, and a high standard of customer experience.
Key responsibilities
- Respond quickly and efficiently to charter sales enquiries so commercial targets are supported.
- Check operational and weather conditions to identify anything that could impact flight safety across the assigned area or routes, then pass relevant updates to Operations Controllers (Flight Dispatchers).
- Assist with diplomatic permit requests and provide dependable follow-up to help secure approvals on time.
- Work closely with the Charter Sales team and handle charter queries without delay.
- Inform Charter Sales immediately when a NOTAM, slot, parking change, or any other update affects the planned schedule.
- Maintain operational systems with accurate flight details, including permit status for arrivals and departures, validity dates, planned routing, and any operating restrictions.
- Support IOC Management by resolving NCC-related issues and handling cost information in a way that promotes efficient operations and strong service standards.
- Escalate urgent operational matters to the IOC Duty Manager, including permit delays that may disrupt schedules or airport restrictions affecting CAT and NCC fleet passengers such as VIPs and VVIPs.
- Coordinate with Qatar embassies and civil aviation authorities around the world to arrange diplomatic permits.

Eligibility and requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification, plus at least 4 years of relevant work experience.
- A Flight Dispatch License/Certificate issued by a regulatory authority or an approved institution.
- Business aviation operator experience is preferred, especially in a high-pressure and fast-changing operational setting.
- Prior exposure to dispatching jet aircraft, EDTO, MNPS, PACOTS, AUSOTS, and EASA Air Operations Regulations will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical ability and well-developed interpersonal skills are required.
