Role overview
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join a collaborative project management team in Auckland. In this position, you will help deliver a portfolio of small to medium-sized complex projects from start to finish, spanning the full project lifecycle.
The role offers practical exposure to building and construction work across design coordination, consenting, procurement, site monitoring, contract administration, and project completion. You will work alongside Senior Project Managers to support outcomes that meet agreed standards for cost, schedule, and quality.
Key responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in delivering projects successfully.
- Take part in design, construction, and commissioning activities across building and construction projects while keeping to cost, time, and quality targets.
- Assist with the administration of consultant agreements and construction contracts.
- Coordinate project tasks and responsibilities across stakeholders.
- Apply company policies and established ways of working in day-to-day project delivery.
What you need to bring
The ideal candidate will have prior exposure to project management, construction, or client-side consulting. You should also bring a relevant tertiary qualification in an industry-related field.
Strong written and verbal communication, excellent customer service, solid organisational ability, and a polished professional approach are all important. You should be comfortable using Microsoft Office tools at an intermediate level.
This role suits someone who works well in a team, takes initiative, and can also operate independently to maintain personal productivity.
