About the Role

As an Associate Product Manager on the Core Platform Services team, you will help define and deliver essential platform capabilities that support the wider Dayforce ecosystem. These capabilities form the base layer for scalable, secure, dependable, and high-performance experiences for developers, customers, and end users across the product suite.

You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Architecture, and Design to support strategy, roadmap planning, and delivery for shared services, messaging, event-driven systems, job execution, observability, logging, monitoring, and developer experience. The role is suited to someone who is inquisitive, customer-oriented, technology-minded, and eager to solve complex problems while learning in a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside Product Managers and Engineering teams to define, ship, and continuously improve platform capabilities.
• Manage a defined segment of the product portfolio and help drive roadmap progress and product results.
• Partner with Scrum teams to clarify requirements, prioritize tasks, and support timely delivery.
• Collect and assess feedback from customers, internal partners, and product teams to uncover improvement opportunities.
• Convert business needs and user expectations into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Assist with roadmap development through research, analysis, and prioritization exercises.
• Track usage, adoption, and operational performance to spot trends and opportunities for optimization.
• Collaborate throughout the product lifecycle with Engineering and Design counterparts.
• Take part in customer discovery conversations, research, and feedback sessions to better understand user needs.
• Keep up with market direction, platform technologies, and evolving best practices.
• Look for ways to use AI-powered capabilities and AI-assisted tools to strengthen product outcomes and team productivity.
• Share product priorities, progress, and results with stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Software Development, Product Operations, or a related area.
• Strong enthusiasm for technology products and software development.
• Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Comfort using data to guide decisions and prioritization.
• Working knowledge of Agile methods and Scrum practices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, APIs, platform services, or enterprise software is advantageous.
• Interest in artificial intelligence, generative AI, and emerging technologies.
• Curiosity, initiative, and a strong willingness to learn in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience with platform products, developer tools, or shared services is a plus.
• Understanding of observability, event-driven architectures, messaging systems, or cloud-native technologies is a plus.
• Experience with roadmap planning and backlog management is a plus.
• Ability to use customer insights and data to shape product recommendations is a plus.
• Success in building strong partnerships across Product, Engineering, and Design is a plus.
• Passion for emerging technologies and AI-enabled solutions is a plus.
