Biologist

Overview

This contract role is for biologists who will support an AI training initiative by evaluating machine-generated biology answers, checking the logic behind solutions, and providing specialist feedback so outputs become more accurate, coherent, and easy to understand.

You will verify biological facts, assess whether responses follow the prompt correctly, identify weaknesses in reasoning or methodology, and draft strong model solutions that show the right approach. The work also includes comparing multiple AI outputs and judging which response is more scientifically sound and better explained.

There is currently no active assignment for this position. Qualified candidates will be kept in mind for upcoming relevant projects and may be contacted first when suitable opportunities become available through the expert network.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to reviewing AI-generated biology content, you may be asked to build training material that helps improve model performance across a range of scientific topics. This includes writing prompts and reference responses that strengthen the system’s understanding of biology, as well as checking outputs for mistakes, bias, and overall reliability.

Professional Profile

The ideal candidate has advanced academic training in biology or a closely related life-science discipline and can explain complex topics with precision. Strong familiarity with human and animal biology, molecular processes, physiology, disease mechanisms, and experimental reasoning is important, along with the ability to fact-check using trustworthy public sources.

Additional Requirements

Candidates should have experience creating or critically reviewing advanced biology content such as question banks, proofs, textbook material, or research notes. A publication record in a peer-reviewed journal is required. Excellent written English at C1 level or above is expected, and prior exposure to data labeling, RLHF, or AI model evaluation is considered an advantage.

Location

This role is based in Singapore and is expected to be carried out onsite.
