About the Mission
Tinder’s purpose is to help people connect in meaningful ways, and the company is motivated by the challenge of preserving the excitement of meeting someone new. With a massive global audience, billions of swipes each day, and millions of matches daily across 190+ countries, the platform continues to expand rapidly.
The team tackles complex, human-centered problems that go beyond the surface of matching, including relationship dynamics, behavioral science, network economics, AI and machine learning, safety both online and offline, cultural differences, loneliness, love, sex, and more.
Company Values
- Take the Lead: The team follows through and supports one another instead of leaving work unfinished or teammates unsupported.
- Move Fast: Action and urgency matter; work that can be done today should not be delayed until tomorrow.
- Better Together: Collaboration is central, and people do their best work when they connect and work as a team.
- Real Talk: Communication is candid, respectful, and human, even when the message is difficult.
- Safety First: Integrity, transparency, and consistency guide decisions so people feel secure in every interaction.
- Spark Fun: Enjoyment is encouraged because it fuels creativity, innovation, and stronger experiences for users.
Role Overview
The Events program is being expanded to create real-world experiences that help members connect beyond the app. This role sits at the center of that growth and is responsible for managing a multi-market portfolio of business. The manager will develop partnerships with local event hosts whose recurring and relevant events align with Tinder’s brand, while using scalable sales methods and AI tools to work efficiently across markets.
This position is based in Los Angeles, CA, requires onsite collaboration three days per week, and includes about 20% travel for market visits, partner meetings, and event activations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of partners across multiple markets and manage relationships end to end with event hosts whose recurring events are featured on Tinder.
- Identify, pursue, and convert new partnerships with venues, event creators, and organizers using repeatable and scalable sales tactics.
- Negotiate co-promotion arrangements that increase visibility and deliver value for both Tinder and its event partners.
- Create and refine city-specific playbooks that standardize how partners are sourced, pitched, and onboarded so the program can expand efficiently.
- Use AI-enabled tools to speed up outreach, event discovery, lead qualification, and account management.
- Build strong knowledge of local event ecosystems to keep Tinder’s offerings current, appealing, and aligned with the brand.
- Work closely with the Senior Manager and cross-functional partners on pipeline planning, expansion strategy, and partner performance.
- Monitor and share KPI results such as pipeline size, conversion performance, market coverage, and partner retention.
Experience and Requirements
- At least 3-5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships, preferably in events, media, entertainment, hospitality, or consumer technology.
- A demonstrated history of meeting or surpassing revenue, pipeline, or growth goals.
- Experience handling partner or account portfolios across multiple markets or verticals.
- A process-oriented mindset with the ability to design repeatable systems instead of relying on one-off deals.
- Comfort using AI and automation as part of day-to-day sales work.
- Strong negotiation ability and confidence closing deals with founders, promoters, and venue owners.
- An entrepreneurial approach, with energy for ambiguity and a bias toward action.
Preferred Experience
- Background in nightlife, live events, or local entertainment environments.
- Understanding of co-promotion or co-marketing deal structures.
- Exposure to Gen Z or millennial consumer brands.
- Experience scaling sales or partnerships across several cities or regions.
Benefits and Perks
- Flexible vacation plus 10 sick days.
- Volunteer time off and matched charitable donations up to $15,000 per year.
- Medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage.
- 401(k) employer match at 100% up to 10%, plus an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
- Fully paid parental leave, including for non-birthing parents, along with family-forming benefits.
- Annual professional development funding of $3,000 and access to more than 6,000 Udemy courses.
- Mental health support, concierge medical membership, pet insurance, fitness subsidy, and commuter subsidy.
- Complimentary Tinder Gold membership.
