Role Overview
We are seeking a Cafeteria Chef for an on-site role in Singapore with Gan Teck Kar Foods. The position focuses on preparing meals for internal employees in a cafeteria environment while maintaining strong standards for food quality, hygiene, safety, and stock control.
Key Duties
- Cook a range of dishes for cafeteria service.
- Order raw ingredients and check incoming supplies for cafeteria operations.
- Track inventory levels and keep stock quantities and quality under control.
- Prepare ingredients and cook meals for the company’s internal staff.
- Use kitchen equipment and facilities safely and keep them clean and well maintained.
- Work efficiently, stay organized, and uphold high food production standards.
- Handle storage, upkeep, and stock rotation to reduce wastage, damage, or spoilage.
- Follow food hygiene rules and workplace safety requirements.
- Support inventory management and stay within the allocated budget.
- Ensure all products are correctly labelled with production and expiry dates.
- Take on other reasonable tasks assigned by management.
