The Role

An opportunity is available for a dependable and enthusiastic cleaner to join the Wellington team. The role suits someone who works well in a busy setting, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in keeping spaces clean, safe, and welcoming.

This is a part-time position with shifts from Monday to Friday, 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The hourly pay is $24.50.

Key Duties

• Carry out day-to-day cleaning tasks to a consistently high standard
• Clean upholstered or furnished areas as needed
• Sweep and mop floors
• Clean toilets and washroom areas
• Collect and remove rubbish
• Clean glass surfaces on both the inside and outside
• Dust hard surfaces throughout the site

What We’re Looking For

• Previous cleaning experience, especially in a commercial setting, is preferred
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfort following instructions and also working independently when required
• Strong eye for detail
• Good customer service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and consistent in attendance
• Solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices
• Willingness to work flexible hours and public holidays when needed
• Experience using floor care machines such as scrubbers, buffers, or sweepers would be an advantage
• Applicants must be 18 years or older due to health and safety requirements
• All training, communication, and health and safety instructions are provided in English only, so good spoken and written English skills are required
• Must have valid work rights in New Zealand
