About Roku
Roku is a leading TV streaming platform in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, with a goal of powering every television globally. The company built streaming for TV and works to connect viewers with the content they want, help publishers grow and monetize audiences, and give advertisers distinctive ways to reach consumers.
As a fast-moving public company, Roku emphasizes direct contribution from day one and offers the chance to work on projects that reach millions of streamers while building experience across multiple disciplines.
About the Team
The Client Marketing and Strategy team operates like a sports team, working across functions to reach shared goals. The group supports sales by creating long-term strategies and solutions that help drive revenue and strengthen partnerships with priority clients. In coordination with sales, the team helps customers evolve their connected TV strategies, test new products, and shape the future of television.
Role Overview
As a Client Strategy Manager, you will design tailored, brand-specific solutions that align with business goals. You will contribute campaign ideas, collaborate with cross-functional partners to validate strategy performance, and operate effectively in a fast-changing environment that demands flexibility, ownership, and a practical, solutions-first approach. The role also supports Roku’s advertising growth and contributes to the future of streaming excellence in connected TV.
What You'll Do
- Work alongside the Ad Sales team to support revenue growth and adoption of Roku’s products and services.
- Create strategic recommendations using Roku’s ad products, content, measurement, targeting, and data capabilities to improve outcomes for advertisers.
- Use strong knowledge of entertainment media to build approaches that help brand and performance marketers increase ad investment.
- Position Roku’s interoperability and programmatic capabilities to open new revenue opportunities.
- Deliver program proposals and customized solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product teams to translate client feedback and opportunity areas into innovation.
- Partner with Measurement and Account Management teams to create learning plans and identify tactics that support client objectives.
Experience and Qualifications
Roku is looking for someone with at least 3 years of relevant connected TV experience in marketing or brand strategy, along with ad tech knowledge and a solid grasp of the media and marketing ecosystem. The ideal candidate understands streaming, TV, digital, social, and programmatic advertising, and knows the challenges brands face across these channels.
You should have experience building ad strategies across several industries, developing distinctive programs that support advertiser goals while preserving a good consumer experience, and balancing audience experience with business outcomes. The role also calls for strong cross-functional problem solving, process building for pre-sale workflows, collaboration with sales teams, and confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
A self-starter mindset is important, with the ability to take on both large and small tasks. A college degree or equivalent experience is required.
Compensation and Benefits
For New York, the estimated annual salary range for this role is $108,000 to $137,000. Compensation depends on candidate-specific factors such as skills, certifications, and location.
This position may include health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability coverage, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off. Additional benefits can vary by location and role, and may include medical, dental, vision, commuter support, and retirement options such as 401(k) or pension. Access to mental health and financial wellness resources is also provided.
