Contract Software Engineer - AI Trainer

Overview

This contract role is for an experienced software engineer who will help improve AI systems by contributing coding expertise to a growing team of more than 100,000 professionals. The community includes front-end, back-end, full-stack, machine learning, and other engineers working on practical AI development tasks.

The work combines flexibility with technical challenge. You may be asked to solve programming problems, create code for interactive applications, and analyze data to produce meaningful insights and visualizations. Your contributions help refine intelligent models that continue to learn and improve.

Some people take on this work alongside a full-time job, while others make it their main focus and select projects and schedules based on their own availability.

How the process works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the selection step. If successful, you will receive confirmation by email and paid work will become available through the platform.

Responsibilities

• Create and solve a variety of coding challenges used to train AI systems, with particular attention to Android development.
• Produce well-structured code examples along with clear, detailed explanations.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
• Share feedback that helps improve future AI model performance.

Qualifications

The role calls for strong English ability at a native or bilingual level, along with excellent writing and grammar skills. Candidates should have experience with Kotlin preferred, and be proficient in at least one of these languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift. A bachelor’s degree, whether completed or still underway, is required. Prior experience as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer is an advantage.

Payments are made through PayPal, and no fees or advance payments are ever requested from candidates. PayPal handles currency conversion from USD if needed. This opportunity is available only to applicants located in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand. People outside these countries will not see available work or assessments. The position is offered as an independent contractor engagement.
