Role overview
Dexian is hiring an experienced Data Analyst for a 24-month contract based in Toronto, Ontario. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule and requires 37.5 hours of work each week. This role focuses on customer journey deployment, reporting, analytics, and performance measurement, with a strong emphasis on data quality and technical analysis.
The selected candidate will partner with business and technology teams to make sure data is available accurately, support journey execution, and turn complex data into useful insights for decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain technical specifications that support customer journey implementations.
- Carry out data checks and quality assurance during user acceptance testing.
- Work through large data sets to uncover patterns, irregularities, and business opportunities.
- Investigate issues in depth to identify root causes behind data and reporting problems.
- Build, support, and improve reporting tools and performance tracking frameworks.
- Work with stakeholders across business and technology functions to convert requirements into analytical solutions.
- Protect the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across different systems and platforms.
- Share analysis results and recommendations with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Technical requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, and campaign or journey measurement.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial services, fintech, telecommunications, or a similar customer-facing sector.
- Practical advanced-level experience with SAS, SQL, Teradata, DBVisualizer, Salesforce CRM, and Power BI.
- Hands-on experience with data validation, testing, and analytics reporting.
- Proven ability to perform complex data investigations and root-cause analysis.
- Solid understanding of customer journey analytics and measurement approaches.
Preferred experience
- Background supporting marketing campaigns, customer engagement programs, or journey orchestration work.
- Previous exposure to Agile delivery environments.
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices.
- Experience with customer lifecycle analytics is an advantage.
- Exposure to cloud-based analytics tools or environments is useful.
- Knowledge of customer data platforms and marketing technology ecosystems is beneficial.
