Job Description
MRM is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to proactively share ideas and identify opportunities, alongside conducting thorough analyses to support client recommendations and insights. A strong foundation in measurement and performance analytics, coupled with a desire for continuous learning and skill development, is essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine reporting and presentations, primarily bi-weekly and eventually quarterly.
- Address ad-hoc analytical questions and requests efficiently.
- Contribute to website analytics projects, including implementing website tags via Google Tag Manager and generating custom reports using Google Analytics and BigQuery.
- Develop custom analytics dashboards using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or similar platforms.
- Support efforts in automating reports.
- Assist in campaign planning and analyzing performance metrics.
Required Skills
- Possess a basic understanding of Python and its data/plotting libraries, with a strong interest in enhancing programming abilities.
- Demonstrate basic SQL proficiency, including table joins, 'group by' clauses, and case statements.
- Have a foundational grasp of statistical concepts like hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and statistical tests (e.g., chi-squared), and their practical application.
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics, or relevant experience.
- Understand the fundamental principles of data visualization and have experience with at least one tool or package (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, LookerStudio/Data Studio, Plot.ly, Seaborn, ggplot).
- Exhibit basic to intermediate Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Be comfortable working independently after initial onboarding.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- An interest in or background related to machine learning or predictive modeling.
- Experience with Firebase.
- Prior experience with scientific polling data, particularly with large .sav files and SPSS/pyreadstat.
- Familiarity with automated data collection methods, such as web scraping or APIs.
- Experience writing VBA macros is a plus.
- Comfort and experience collaborating in a remote setting.
Additional Information
The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $160,000. The final compensation within this range will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, the actual salary ranges for current/former employees in the same role, the specific discipline, market conditions, budgetary constraints, tenure and standing within the company (for current employees), and the applicant's background, relevant experience, and qualifications.
