About the role

The company is hiring a Data Analyst to support its Self-Serve business, the fastest-expanding part of Lyft Business’s B2B offering for small and mid-sized companies across North America.

This is a practical, hands-on analytics role focused on converting product and customer data into business insight. You’ll work as the main analytical partner to the Self-Serve product team, helping measure how product changes such as a new signup flow, onboarding updates, and lifecycle campaigns affect activation and growth. The role also calls for building trusted, reusable data assets so the same questions can be answered consistently across the team.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver analyses with direct impact on product direction and go-to-market decisions for the Self-Serve business.
  • Take ownership of the full funnel, from acquisition through signup, onboarding, and engagement, and create dashboards and datasets that keep the team informed in real time.
  • Set clear definitions for core business metrics so reports, dashboards, and tools all produce the same answer.
  • Work with Product and Engineering to confirm tracking is correct and identify data gaps before they affect reporting or new launches.
  • Convert repeated reporting needs into durable datasets and reduce reliance on one-off queries.
  • Spot opportunities to automate recurring workflows and help shape AI-enabled analytics tools with the right prompts, context, and safeguards.
  • Run deep-dive analysis and experiment design to establish baselines, measure impact, and explain the reasons behind performance changes.
  • Collaborate with Data Science & Analytics, Marketing, and other partners to guide strategy and decision-making.
  • Present findings in a clear, structured story for both senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

  • A degree, or equivalent work experience, in analytics, statistics, economics, computer science, or another quantitative discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence, preferably in product, growth, or B2B environments.
  • Strong SQL skills and the ability to write efficient, organized queries on large datasets.
  • Prior exposure to funnel analysis, conversion measurement, and A/B testing is preferred.
  • Experience with a visualization platform such as Tableau, Looker, Mode, or a similar tool.
  • Python experience for analysis and automation is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as Airflow and dbt is helpful.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted coding and analytics tools while still validating every query, result, and recommendation independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence business decisions through analysis and ownership of the metrics and datasets you create.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break ambiguous challenges into clear, actionable work.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining complex data to different audiences.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
