Director, SecurTime, APAC

Role Overview

ADP is seeking a Director of Product Development to lead the SecurTime product direction for the APAC region from Mangaluru. This role is centered on shaping product design, guiding engineering leaders, and helping deliver scalable, user-focused time and leave solutions used by large numbers of people. The position suits someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and turning ideas into practical outcomes.

What the Role Involves

• Set the design direction for several areas of the platform and oversee delivery.
• Lead multiple engineering teams, including teams with people managers.
• Partner with project managers to deliver work on schedule and with strong quality standards.
• Collaborate with technical product owners to define and refine roadmaps.
• Work closely with engineering managers and architects to strengthen team performance and resolve day-to-day challenges.
• Develop technical leadership and help prepare future leaders within the organization.
• Coordinate with leaders across India, China, and Southeast Asia to influence future product design and solution strategy.
• Promote the use of AI-supported development and testing frameworks.

What ADP Is Looking For

• A bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in Computer Science.
• 15 to 18 years of experience in product development or engineering leadership.
• Experience managing several engineering teams, including first-line engineering managers.
• Ability to work with business teams such as Sales, Service, and Implementation to improve the product for client users.
• Strong ownership mindset and a passion for building scalable software products.
• Background in project management, including planning, tracking, prioritization, expectation setting, and risk or issue management.
• Record of delivering complex technical products and solutions.
• Experience participating in and leading client-facing and market-facing discussions.
• Comfort working in an agile environment.
• Exposure to large-scale, high-performance systems.
• Career growth through progressively senior engineering roles.
• Practical coding experience in one or more languages such as Java, C#, Ruby, Python, or JavaScript, along with relational and non-relational databases.
• Ability to study market trends, usage data, and competitive factors and apply that insight to product strategy and roadmap planning.
• Self-driven attitude, strong energy, and a bias toward action.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills.
• Additional strengths include confident risk-taking at both individual and leadership levels, the ability to explain complex ideas to executives and technical groups, and a habit of ongoing research.
