Position summary

As an Engineering Support Operative based at the Asda Distribution Centre, you will support routine maintenance activities that help keep equipment productive, available, compliant with health and safety standards, and performing to quality expectations.

Key duties

• Carry out operational inspections, functionality testing, cleaning, adjustments, lubrication, and monitoring of equipment.
• Identify the underlying cause of faults and work toward lasting fixes where issues occur.
• Support planned preventative maintenance, as well as corrective and reactive maintenance, in a prompt manner when needed.
• Handle jam-clearing activities competently in line with operational procedures.
• Document all completed work to maintain accurate records and support utilisation tracking.
