General Manager

Role overview

The General Manager for Facility Management will steer both the strategic direction and day-to-day performance of the business. This position is accountable for sustainable growth, strong profitability, smooth operations, commercial outcomes, contract management, finance oversight, and expansion efforts. The role carries complete responsibility for profit and loss and is based in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Create and implement the organization’s long-term business strategy.
• Improve revenue, profitability, and footprint in the market.
• Take full ownership of profit and loss performance.
• Prepare and oversee annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Track financial results and act promptly when performance needs correction.
• Reduce operating costs without compromising service standards.
• Strengthen EBITDA and overall profitability outcomes.
• Manage Facility Management operations across all contracts and locations.
• Make sure services meet agreed KPIs and SLAs.
• Drive operational excellence and ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to tendering, bidding, and contract negotiation activities.
• Build strong client partnerships and maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Guide, mentor, and develop senior leadership teams.
• Maintain compliance, governance, and risk controls across the business.

Qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline. An MBA or master’s degree is preferred. Professional certifications in Finance, Business Management, or Facility Management will be considered an advantage.

Applicants should bring 15 to 20 years of progressive leadership experience, including at least 8 to 10 years in senior management or executive roles. Strong exposure to the Facility Management sector is required. The background should include proven success in P&L management, budgeting, and financial performance improvement, along with experience handling large-scale operations, contracts, and business growth initiatives.
