Role overview

This position is based in a busy store environment where each day can look different. The business puts food, value, quality and customer service at the centre of what it does, and this role plays a key part in bringing online orders from the store to customers’ homes.

What you will do

• Drive a 3.5-tonne van to deliver grocery orders to customers’ homes safely, on schedule and in good condition.
• Carry out vehicle checks to make sure the van is tidy, roadworthy and properly loaded before heading out.
• Handle customer interactions professionally, answer questions, manage substitutions and keep customers informed about any delays.
• Learn about products, services and promotions so you can make useful recommendations where appropriate.
• Support store operations when you are not on delivery duties.

Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You need a full UK or EU driving licence that has been held for a minimum of 12 months.
• Your licence must have no more than 6 points.
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
• An online driving risk assessment is part of the interview process, and a further driving assessment will be completed if you join.

• Comfortable using digital tools and technology as part of day-to-day work.
• Able to handle shopping containers weighing up to 15 kg.
