Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on and people-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join a growing accounting firm in North York, Ontario. This position covers a wide mix of HR responsibilities, including recruitment, employee relations, policy support, compliance, onboarding, and day-to-day HR administration. HR Programs and Continuous Improvement

  • Create, roll out, and update HR policies, procedures, and programs that help the business meet its objectives and support growth.

Compliance and HR Administration

  • Make sure HR practices comply with relevant federal and provincial employment laws.

  • Track and communicate updates on employment standards and current HR best practices.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, ideally in a corporate or professional setting.
  • Post-secondary training in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification, or progress toward one, is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Canadian employment laws and HR practices.
  • Previous exposure to supporting teams across multiple locations is preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organization skills.
  • Comfort handling sensitive information professionally and discreetly.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a busy environment.
