ICT4D Coordinator

About the role

Welthungerhilfe is hiring an ICT4D Coordinator to strengthen digital transformation and ICT for development capabilities across its programs. The position supports the use of digital data tools and platforms to improve data quality, accountability, reporting, and evidence-based decision-making. The role is based in one of the organization’s country programs, and the successful candidate may be engaged under national employment terms if hired in their home country.

The assignment is intended to start as soon as possible and will initially run for 2 years. It is a full-time position.

What you will do

• Provide strategic and technical advice to senior leaders so that digital transformation directly supports program results.
• Drive the identification, testing, and expansion of digital solutions that strengthen data quality, accountability, and decision-making across programs.
• Lead the global ICT4D team and support collaboration to advance digital solution adoption across program teams.
• Help standardize approaches to digital data collection, analysis, and reporting, including annual and impact reporting.
• Build the capacity of country offices and headquarters teams through training, coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
• Make sure ICT4D work follows data protection and governance requirements while still encouraging innovation.
• Develop and sustain partnerships with internal teams, technology vendors, and peer organizations to support learning and collaboration.
• Represent the organization in ICT4D and digital innovation networks.
• Track global trends in digital development for impact and turn them into practical recommendations.

What the organization is looking for

• A master’s degree is preferred in data science, ICT4D, international development, or a similar discipline.
• Strong experience implementing and managing digital data systems such as CommCare, Power BI, RedRose, and Azure, especially in ICT4D settings.
• Solid background in MEAL, evidence-based program design, and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience advising senior leadership and contributing in professional networks.
• Very good communication and teamwork skills in multicultural and cross-functional environments.
• Good understanding of data protection, governance, and compliance requirements such as GDPR.
• A strategic and analytical way of working, with strong problem-solving ability.
• Leadership experience with teams, consultants, or complex partnerships is an advantage.
• Active engagement in ICT4D networks or experience representing an organization in digital development forums is an advantage.
• Experience in international development, ideally in fragile or humanitarian contexts, along with willingness to travel, is an advantage.
• Ability to recognize the value of data and motivate teams to make evidence-based decisions.
• Fluency in English is required; French is a plus.
