Junior Jersey Designer

Role Overview

Elite Associates is working with a modern womenswear label to find a Junior Jersey Designer for its expanding design department. This role sits alongside the Senior Designer and supports the creation of commercially strong jersey collections, from the earliest concepts all the way through to production. It is well suited to a creative, trend-conscious designer who wants to progress in a dynamic fashion environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in shaping and developing seasonal jersey ranges.
• Carry out research into trends, fabrics and competing brands.
• Create CADs, technical drawings and complete design packs.
• Partner with Buying, Garment Tech and external suppliers during the development process.
• Assess samples, participate in fit meetings and help drive product sign-off.
• Make sure designs reflect the brand’s aesthetic direction and commercial goals.

About You

You should bring 1–3 years of womenswear design experience, with jersey knowledge preferred. Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are important, along with a solid grasp of jersey fabrics and how garments are constructed. The ideal candidate will combine commercial awareness with a sharp eye for trends and detail, plus strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills.
