Lead Estimator

About the role

This position is for a Lead Estimator based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, supporting Project Elevate, a major mining and infrastructure growth initiative in the Kingdom. The role sits within the Project Delivery Group and contributes to large EPCM programs across the Middle East.

What you will do

• Take ownership of capital cost estimating for large, multidisciplinary EPCM projects, covering estimate classes from AACE Class 5 through Class 1.
• Build Basis of Estimate documents and prepare estimating plans.
• Create both first-principles and factor-based estimates, including direct and indirect cost components.
• Check and validate quantity take-offs for civil, structural, piping, and electrical & instrumentation work.
• Evaluate commercial bids from vendors and contractors.
• Help develop cost baselines, cash flow projections, and escalation forecasts.
• Track cost outcomes, changes, variations, and claims during project delivery.
• Work directly with clients and other stakeholders through presentations and reporting.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate has an engineering background, with mechanical engineering preferred, and brings 10 to 15 years of estimating experience in mining, metals, or energy projects. Exposure to EPCM environments is preferred, and experience should span the full project lifecycle from studies through execution.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, productivity assumptions, and estimating practices is important. Familiarity with estimating software, especially Candy, is preferred. The role also calls for strong communication skills and confidence in client-facing discussions.

Language requirements

English is mandatory. Arabic is considered an advantage.
