Position Summary
The Bank of Tampa is hiring a Learning and Development Business Partner to lead the full lifecycle of training program creation, delivery, and improvement for both existing staff and new hires. In this role, you will work closely with business leaders and subject matter experts to turn business priorities into practical, scalable learning solutions for the Training and Development team. The position calls for someone who can work with a high degree of independence and move initiatives from idea to implementation with minimal supervision.
Instructional Design and Content Creation
- Build, update, and manage instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning programs on your own.
- Convert broad business directions into organized training plans and supporting learning resources.
- Work with subject matter experts and internal partners to confirm content is accurate and consistent.
- Develop facilitator manuals, learner handouts, job aids, and e-learning materials.
- Keep a centralized repository of training resources organized and current.
Training Facilitation and Delivery
- Deliver classroom, virtual, and blended learning sessions effectively.
- Provide systems and application training for new employees and bank initiatives.
- Adjust presentation and facilitation techniques to suit different audiences and experience levels.
LMS Administration and Training Operations
- Use learning management system tools to schedule training and generate reports.
- Maintain complete and accurate training records, including compliance-related documentation.
Measurement and Continuous Improvement
- Assess training effectiveness using participant feedback and performance data.
- Improve learning approaches based on outcomes and stakeholder input.
- Prepare reports and summaries on learner results, program impact, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop strong working relationships across departments and levels of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in instructional design or learning and development.
- At least 2 years of experience delivering training in a professional environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to manage training work independently from concept through delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in learning and development, instructional design, or training facilitation, such as ATD CPTD, APTD, Certified Instructional Designer, or a comparable credential.
- 2 years of banking experience in a frontline or operational position.
- Experience working with learning management systems.
- Familiarity with current training methods and approaches.
- Experience using eLearning authoring and editing tools such as Articulate, I Spring, or Adobe Premiere.
