Role Overview
The Qatar Patriot Sustainment Program supports a Foreign Military Sales effort in aid of QEADF, delivering logistics and training support for Patriot air defense operations. This role is based in Doha, Qatar, and works closely with the in-country Operations Manager and Field Manager to keep depot logistics activities running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
The Logistics Manager partners with operations, warehouse, material program, warranty, configuration, and other business teams. The position contributes to financial reporting, earned value management, workload planning, proposal support, and efforts related to diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS).
Core duties include coordinating local vendor deliveries, documenting materials in the local logistics management system, tracking inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining historical records for depot logistics analysis, and supporting procurement actions across OCONUS and CONUS organizations.
The role also involves ensuring compliance with total asset visibility (TAV) addendum processes, policies, and procedures, supporting root cause and corrective action work, assisting with logistics analysis and reporting, and maintaining both automated and manual accounting records. This includes posting receipts and turn-ins and checking received quantities against bills of lading, contracts, purchase requests, and shipping documents.
Leadership Expectations
The selected candidate may plan work assignments according to schedules, methods, and policies set by the logistics manager, coordinate across related work cells, determine staffing needs for projects, shift personnel and resources as priorities change, and apply corrective actions within delegated authority. Occasional work outside standard hours and overtime may be required.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should bring strong leadership ability, excellent verbal and written communication, and the confidence to make timely decisions in a fast-moving environment with limited information. The role calls for adaptability in austere and ambiguous settings, the ability to operate with minimal guidance, and proven experience in logistics analysis.
Candidates must have at least 6 years of related logistics experience, broad understanding of all functional logistics areas within a depot setting, and solid proficiency with Microsoft Office and email.
Preferred Background
Experience that is especially valued includes critical and creative thinking with measurable outcomes in uncertain situations, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, work with multicultural teams, familiarity with Middle Eastern cultures, and prior support of international programs or initiatives.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, along with 8 to 12 years of related experience.
Compensation and Benefits
The posted salary range is USD 107,500 to USD 204,500 per year. Compensation may vary based on role, responsibilities, work experience, location, education or training, and relevant skills.
Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible schedules, employee assistance support, Employee Scholar Program access, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Eligible hires may also receive annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation, depending on position level and other applicable factors.
