Role Overview

This position is focused on helping PayPal UK Limited meet its regulatory and governance responsibilities through strong data handling and reporting. The role involves managing data requests, producing regulatory and governance reports, and evaluating both new and existing reporting obligations.

You will work with cross-functional partners to verify that the required data exists, is accurate, and can be used reliably. The job calls for strong analytical ability, sound organisation, and confidence working with complex datasets.

Key Responsibilities

The role combines entity administration, reporting, and process improvement work. It includes identifying issues in legal entity and subsidiary administration, recommending better practices, and supporting projects that improve processes or business outcomes.

You will analyse business trends to help guide decisions, partner with internal teams to support legal and regulatory compliance, and ensure corporate records and documentation remain complete and accurate.

Day to day, the role also covers data preparation and analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python; building data pipelines; consolidating information from multiple systems; creating dashboards for leadership; and helping stakeholders understand key trends and drivers.

In addition, you will act as a bridge between the UK COO team, Compliance, and other business groups to resolve data issues and reporting gaps. The position also includes generating management information and compliance reports for senior leadership and board committees, handling internal and external data requests, and maintaining records for audit and oversight purposes.

Another part of the role is improving workflows and tools, spotting inefficiencies in existing reporting processes, and suggesting practical fixes that strengthen data management and compliance operations.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience are required, or an equivalent mix of education and work history.

Preferred academic background includes a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

Candidates should be comfortable with advanced data work, including large datasets, numerical analysis, and the use of tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, Jupyter Notebooks, Teradata, Hadoop/Hive, or Oracle. A solid grasp of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms is expected.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, along with the ability to simplify complex ideas and influence both peers and senior leaders. Excellent organisation, sharp attention to detail, and experience working with cross-functional teams on data and reporting workflows are also needed.

Helpful additional experience includes knowledge of regulatory reporting for financial institutions or regulated entities, familiarity with governance and compliance frameworks, and prior work in compliance or data-focused roles within regulated environments.

The role is based in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. PayPal notes that most employees follow a balanced hybrid model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working either from the office or from home; however, this posting is marked as onsite.
