This Mechanical Engineer position focuses on technical office support for a project in Doha, Qatar. The selected professional will handle design reviews, shop drawing checks, material submittals, and engineering calculations while working closely with project stakeholders to keep all outputs aligned with project specifications, standards, and client expectations.

Requirements and Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
The role calls for 8 to 10 years of experience in technical office functions and engineering work.
Hands-on capability in design review and coordination is essential.
Experience preparing and reviewing shop drawings is required.
Candidates must be able to prepare material submittals and follow them through the approval process.
Strong ability in engineering calculations is needed.
Working knowledge of MEP systems and construction methods is required.
Proficiency with relevant engineering software is expected.
Applicants must already have technical office experience.
Experience on engineering and MEP projects is mandatory.
Immediate availability to join is required.

Responsibilities

Examine mechanical designs and coordinate them with project specifications.
Prepare and check shop drawings and technical submissions.
Develop material submittals and monitor them until approval is received.
Carry out engineering calculations and technical assessments.
Liaise with consultants, clients, and internal project teams.
Make sure all work complies with project requirements and engineering standards.

Project Details

The assignment is based in Doha, Qatar. The work schedule is 6 days per week, with standard hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, though this may change depending on project needs. The role is intended to be long term, with a minimum commitment of 1 year or more, and the expected start is ASAP.
