- Work with OT engineers, operations teams, and vendors to introduce safeguards without disrupting critical systems.
- Promote cyber hygiene and advise stakeholders on secure OT practices.
- Track vulnerabilities in OT assets and align patching, remediation, and mitigation work with operational requirements.
- Prioritize vulnerabilities based on operational impact and safety considerations.
- Continuously monitor OT environments for threats using appropriate security tools and techniques.
- Use threat intelligence sources to stay current on attacks targeting OT environments and recommend preventive actions.
- Update monitoring systems and tools regularly so they can identify new and evolving threats.
Stakeholders
This role interacts internally with the OT Cybersecurity Manager or Head of Cybersecurity, IT and Network Operations teams, Engineering and Development teams, and Human Resources. Externally, the position works with OT hardware/software vendors and third-party cybersecurity service providers.

- Hands-on experience with securing industrial control systems, SCADA environments, and other OT assets is necessary.
- Working knowledge of OT security standards and frameworks such as NIST, IEC 62443, and NERC CIP is important.
- Familiarity with OT communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC, and similar industrial protocols is expected.
- Understanding of OT security tools and technologies, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and SIEM platforms, is required.
