Job purpose

We are looking for a highly organized, delivery-focused Package Manager / Project Manager to take charge of planning, coordinating, executing, and handing over assigned project packages within larger programs. The role calls for someone who can balance multiple stakeholders, vendors, engineering groups, and contractors while keeping work on schedule, within budget, and aligned to overall project objectives.

The position also requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving ability, along with the confidence to manage interfaces across different disciplines and maintain full compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed execution plans for packages, including schedules, resource needs, scope, deliverables, and milestone tracking.
  • Keep package plans aligned with master project timelines, budget targets, and key program milestones.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities so delivery commitments are met.
  • Work closely with internal teams such as Engineering, Procurement, Construction, HSE, and QA/QC, as well as with outside vendors and contractors.
  • Handle contractor interfaces, clarify scope boundaries, and support resolution of disputes when they arise.
  • Maintain open communication across all stakeholders to support smooth collaboration and execution.
  • Monitor package spending, identify budget deviations and risks, and track performance against baseline schedules.
  • Use project controls and reporting tools to follow progress and prepare regular updates for senior leadership.
  • Ensure package work complies with technical requirements, industry standards, and QA/QC procedures.
  • Participate in inspections, quality audits, and corrective actions where needed.
  • Identify project risks, assess their impact, and put mitigation measures in place.
  • Manage change orders, scope revisions, and impact assessments in a proactive and controlled manner.
  • Maintain complete project records, including contracts, drawings, change logs, and meeting minutes.
  • Prepare dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries with clear traceability and version control.
  • Work effectively under demanding schedules and tight deadlines.

Requirements

  • At least 20 years of experience in project management or package management, preferably within a PMCM firm or a similar environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • PMP certification is required.
  • A master’s degree is considered an advantage.
  • Strong capability to manage multiple packages within large, complex projects.
  • Solid understanding of project lifecycles, contract administration, and construction methods.
  • Hands-on experience with project management systems such as MS Project, Primavera P6, SAP, or comparable tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and people skills.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-moving, cross-functional work environment.
