About the Role

Howmet Aerospace in Georgetown, Ontario, is seeking a dedicated Pattern Cleaner to fill a vacant position on their day shift team. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and integrity of soluble core patterns used in their manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for thorough cleaning and meticulous inspection of these patterns, adhering strictly to company procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute repetitive cleaning tasks for various types of wax soluble core patterns.
• Conduct detailed inspections of all patterns, making informed decisions on whether to accept, repair, or scrap parts based on documented instructions.
• Adhere to established protocols for reporting any potential deviations or emerging scrap trends.
• Utilize appropriate fixturing and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy of patterns and molds.
• Manage and maintain adequate stock levels of materials within the work area to optimize operational efficiency.
• Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in all assigned tasks.
• Set up and maintain small appliances as needed for specific cleaning activities.
• Complete and maintain all required documentation accurately.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by management.
• Participate in cross-training across various departments within the facility.

Qualifications

• Possess a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to comprehend and follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Exhibit a positive and cooperative work attitude, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
• Capable of lifting objects weighing between 5 to 10 lbs.

Additional Information

This position operates on a day shift schedule, Monday to Friday, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. The starting wage for this role is $20 per hour.
