About the Role
In this position, you will support payroll processing, carry out audits and reconciliations, and handle day-to-day operational coordination with the payroll provider. The role is based in Mannheim and reports into the Global Payroll function.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify payroll results, including G2N/WTR reports, pay slips, and time tracking data.
- Support payroll compliance activities, ensuring any required third-party payments and statutory reporting are completed correctly and on time.
- Keep employee payroll records up to date, including voluntary and mandatory deductions.
- Create standard payroll reports as well as ad hoc reporting when required.
- Help strengthen and stabilize the working relationship with the payroll vendor.
- Document payroll processes and compliance steps in written procedures.
- Track and report employee pension and benefit contributions, including employer matching amounts.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance systems to maintain accurate payroll and pension data and to ensure correct reporting to pension administrators.
- Support the resolution of issues linked to salary, insurance, and pension accounts.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in economics or an equivalent background and experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a German payroll environment.
- Prior exposure to SAP and SuccessFactors is considered an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of payroll terminology and concepts.
- Understanding of German payroll law and pension regulations.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
- Professional fluency in both German and English, spoken and written.
