This role offers a standout chance for a driven entrepreneurial leader to take control of a well-established small government contracting company and operate it as if it were your own. The mandate

Your primary objective is straightforward but ambitious: increase EBITDA by 30% over the next three years. You will be accountable for the P&L, shape the strategy, and deliver results with limited resources.

Responsibilities and ownership

Take complete ownership of the P&L, managing the business from revenue generation through margin performance.
Lead business development and capture efforts by using your network immediately to create opportunities, secure new contracts, and grow existing work.
Oversee operations and delivery, ensuring strong contract execution, quality, and performance across the full portfolio of work.
Build and develop the team by recruiting and guiding people who are motivated to succeed.
Strengthen relationships with government and commercial customers as well as teaming partners.
Work with platform leadership on acquisitions and the integration of new businesses.

Candidate profile

You are a military veteran who understands mission focus, accountability, and leading from the front.
You have operated in government contracting and understand how work is won and delivered, including contract vehicles, capture, compliance, and customer engagement.
You arrive with an active, relevant network that can be put to use immediately.
You are entrepreneurial, comfortable with uncertainty, action-oriented, and motivated by ownership and upside rather than a title. You are resourceful, able to accomplish more with less, and eager to build something meaningful while sharing in the value created.

Qualifications

Background in general management, P&L ownership, or business development leadership within government services or the defense sector.
Clear evidence of revenue growth and improved profitability.
Current, deep relationships with government and commercial buyers and partnering organizations.
U.S. military service; an active or prior security clearance is a strong advantage depending on the customer base.
Ability to work on a hybrid schedule and travel as needed by the business.

Compensation and upside

Base pay of $120,000.
Equity ownership with a phased earn-in structure, giving you a direct interest in the value you create.
Additional platform-level upside as the portfolio expands through further acquisitions.
