Project Manager (Mechanical)

About the Role

This position leads and coordinates the design and construction stages of mechanical engineering projects. The focus is on keeping work aligned with project goals, schedules, and quality expectations while ensuring safe execution, efficient operations, and the timely delivery of high-quality facilities.

Responsibilities

• Create project charters and detailed plans that define scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource needs.
• Work with stakeholders across the project lifecycle and keep communication clear and consistent.
• Track progress against milestones, risks, and performance indicators.
• Oversee site execution to make sure construction follows approved drawings, schedules, budgets, and required standards.
• Assess change requests and determine their effect on scope, cost, and delivery dates.
• Support a smooth handover by ensuring permits, documentation, and operational-readiness items are completed.
• Coordinate and review mechanical design elements such as HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, fuel, and other utility systems.
• Follow up on installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Ensure mechanical work complies with the relevant engineering codes, standards, and specifications.
• Collaborate with contractors and consultants to close out design and construction issues.
• Examine shop drawings, method statements, and technical submissions connected to mechanical works.
• Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
• Help resolve escalated matters and refer complex issues to the appropriate authority when needed.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• At least 2 years of experience in a comparable role is required.
• Hands-on exposure to mechanical systems design and construction.
• Working knowledge of HVAC and building services.
• Understanding of testing and commissioning activities.
• Ability to review technical drawings and related documents.
• Experience in project coordination and stakeholder management.

Additional Information

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and is a full-time, on-site position.
