This is a contract assignment supporting Amazon through an approved third-party staffing provider, not a direct full-time Amazon employment role. The selected candidate will work as a contract worker for the length of the project.

The position is a senior-level research program management role focused on guiding complex research initiatives from start to finish. The person in this role will prepare detailed updates for stakeholders and senior leaders and will adjust plans strategically when needed. The role also includes maintaining productive external partnerships and contributing to the broader long-term research direction. A working understanding of UX research methods and project management fundamentals is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead research programs from initial planning through final delivery.
• Create and maintain project plans covering methodology, timelines, resources, and experimental design.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams and keep collaboration effective across scientific and technical functions.
• Set milestones, monitor budgets, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure research work complies with protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee laboratory coordination and cross-functional execution.
• Track progress, prepare status reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Analyze research results and identify opportunities to expand or improve programs.
• Build and sustain relationships with external collaborators.
• Contribute to strategic research planning while exercising independent judgment.

Requirements

• Experience leading complex research programs or comparable multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong background in project management, including planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
• Ability to manage budgets, risks, and operational details effectively.
• Knowledge of research protocols, compliance expectations, and quality control practices.
• Familiarity with UX research methodology and project management principles.
• Proven leadership skills for working with scientists, associates, and technical staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
• Comfort working with a high level of autonomy.
• Capability to handle confidential client information and work within secure systems.

Compensation is quoted at an hourly range of USD 42.31 to USD 52.49, while the broader good-faith expectation stated for the role is USD 46.21 to USD 52.49 per hour.
