Role overview
With continued business growth, the company is hiring a Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement for all goods used across its warehouse network. This position will manage a team of three purchasing officers and will be accountable for finding the right balance between cost, product quality, and delivery performance across both domestic and international supply sources. The role is important for keeping stock levels healthy, building effective supplier partnerships, and meeting cost-saving goals while maintaining service standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of three purchasing officers.
- Create and implement procurement plans for both local and overseas purchasing activity.
- Prepare, update, and complete purchase orders using system-generated suggestions and independent analysis.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships while securing competitive pricing, reliable quality, and strong delivery outcomes.
- Work with inventory, sales, and operations teams to maintain suitable stock availability.
- Partner with Finance to manage purchasing budgets, plan future spend, and support cost-reduction initiatives.
Experience and skills required
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing, preferably within a similar industry.
- Strong negotiation capability, including supplier pricing, lead times, delivery terms, and quality expectations.
- Good knowledge of purchasing workflows, replenishment planning, supplier assessment, and procurement cost control.
- Confident use of Microsoft Office, inventory platforms, and purchasing management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
