Quantity Surveyor

Key responsibilities

• Support tender submissions by preparing quotations, attending tender interviews, and closely tracking sales progress.

• Build project budgets and compare planned figures against actual spending throughout the job.
• Compile material schedules to begin the sourcing process.
• Source suppliers and subcontractors and obtain pricing from them.
• Create comparison tables, assess supplier and subcontractor quotations, and propose the best option for approval.
• Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers or subcontractors, then issue purchase orders or subcontract agreements.
• Submit progress claims on time and monitor the payment response.
• Prepare, issue, and certify subcontractor claims in line with the work agreement.
• Manage the closing of final accounts.

Requirements

• A minimum diploma in quantity surveying or a related engineering discipline is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in a QS role is preferred, ideally in general construction or architecture-related work.
• The ideal candidate should have a positive and open mindset.
• The role calls for someone who is results-driven and willing to take ownership of assigned duties.
