Position Overview
This six-month remote contracting opportunity is for an experienced talent acquisition professional who can operate in a fast-moving, growth-oriented setting. The role calls for someone who combines sourcing creativity, strong stakeholder management, and a practical understanding of hiring strategy.
Role Summary
You will help strengthen and evolve recruiting operations by supporting the design, delivery, and ongoing refinement of staffing programs across a distributed organization. The position requires independent judgment, close partnership with business leaders, and the ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve recruiting workflows and programs to increase speed, quality, and overall effectiveness.
- Partner with leadership to deliver complete recruiting support for assigned functions or teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor to hiring stakeholders by sharing hiring guidance, market intelligence, and current best practices.
- Work with a high level of autonomy while coordinating across cross-functional and matrixed teams.
- When needed, communicate directly with clients to provide a smooth and professional hiring experience.
- Collaborate with managers in assigned business areas to source, screen, and hire candidates using cost-conscious methods that align with company procedures.
- Manage applicant pipelines to keep qualified candidates available and support diversity hiring objectives.
- Support junior staffing team members with direction and guidance.
- Draft and publish job advertisements.
- Evaluate applications and conduct interviews to assess work background, education, training, skill set, and compensation expectations.
- Plan and place job ads across different media channels and represent the organization at job fairs.
- Build and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, alumni groups, and other candidate sources.
- Coordinate with external recruiters, staffing firms, and employment agencies to attract talent.
- Use online recruiting channels and internet-based sourcing methods to identify suitable candidates.
- Develop partnerships with employment, advertising, and temporary agencies.
- With direction, coach business leaders and line managers on staffing practices and recruiting support.
- Meet with functional leaders and executive management as needed to align on staffing goals and delivery.
- Assist with training managers on recruiting, interviewing, and candidate selection.
- Contribute to projects tied to recruitment legislation, HR systems, process compliance, and business-wide staffing practices.
- Support workforce diversity efforts and follow local and regional hiring rules, especially around applicant tracking.
- Stay current on labor market shifts that may affect hiring competitiveness and work with compensation partners on salary and equity considerations.
- Ensure managers receive timely employee-related information when required.
- Depending on the business line, you may also help with financial targets and business development activities.
Terms and Conditions

Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 4 years of recruiting or staffing experience.
- Strong understanding of recruitment laws and compliance obligations.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office, HRIS platforms, and Workday ATS.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Good judgment along with strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Experience working effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
- Confident presentation skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
