Role overview
The Resource Administrator will help keep the schools running efficiently by managing key physical resources such as textbooks, stationery, classroom materials, and reprographics. The role also involves responding to operational needs as directed by the operations and office manager and the school principal.
Core duties
- Coordinate the receipt and distribution of textbooks, notebooks, and other general school deliveries.
- Manage stationery stock levels, carry out stock checks, and communicate reorder needs in time for supplies to arrive within a two-week notice window.
- Provide day-to-day support to staff across the working day.
- Remain reachable by the operations and office manager and members of the senior leadership team.
- Assist with printing and laminating class materials and display items whenever requested by the operations and office manager.
- Help keep storage areas organised, tidy, and in excellent condition.
- Support teachers with the upkeep of corridor displays when needed.
- Check in daily with the operations and office manager to align on priorities for the day.
- Take on additional duties assigned by the line manager as required.
Safeguarding
The successful candidate must actively protect and promote the welfare of children and young people, follow school safeguarding procedures, and comply with the staff code of conduct. A key part of the role is supporting the designated safeguarding lead to help maintain a safe and secure environment for all students.
Qualifications
A diploma is preferred.
Experience
At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar position is required.
Skills and attributes
This role requires fluent spoken English and Arabic, along with the ability to build productive working relationships, stay adaptable, and remain effective in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting. Strong organisation, planning, prioritisation, time management, and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to keep workspaces exceptionally orderly. The position also calls for solid numeracy, stock-taking capability, IT proficiency, data analysis skills, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Patience for repetitive tasks, reliability, trustworthiness, and a consistent record of attendance and punctuality are also important.
