Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position in Pune District for a Salesperson. The selected person will interact directly with walk-in shoppers and business clients, understand what they need, present knitwear products, and suggest options that suit their style, quality expectations, and budget. The role includes day-to-day management of the sales area, arranging product displays, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring billing and sales records are accurate.
In addition, the role involves staying connected with existing customers, spotting new sales opportunities, and assisting with promotions and seasonal campaigns. The Salesperson will work closely with the store and warehouse teams to help orders move smoothly and to create a positive buying experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them toward suitable knitwear and apparel options.
- Demonstrate products effectively and support customers in making informed purchase decisions.
- Handle sales floor activities, including display upkeep, merchandising, and general store presentation.
- Track inventory levels and help ensure stock information remains accurate.
- Prepare billing, sales records, and basic documentation carefully.
- Follow up with existing customers and look for additional sales opportunities.
- Assist with promotions, offers, and seasonal sales campaigns.
- Coordinate with store and warehouse teams to support smooth order processing and fulfillment.
Requirements
- Strong sales and customer service ability, including rapport building, handling concerns, and closing deals.
- Working knowledge of retail operations such as stock handling, billing, cash management, and maintaining store standards.
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills for dealing professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Good attention to detail and organization to manage multiple queries, orders, and customers.
- Availability to work full time on-site in Pune District, including weekends or longer hours during busy periods when required.
- Interest in apparel, knitwear, or fashion, along with willingness to learn about fabrics, sizing, and product features.
- Comfort with basic numbers and computer use for invoices, records, and simple reporting.
- Experience in retail, textile, or apparel sales is preferred, though not essential; training may be offered to suitable candidates.
