Scrum Master

Role overview

Infosys Public Services is hiring a Scrum Master to support delivery teams and guide Agile execution across development, testing, and release activities.

What you will do

• Lead the development and testing teams by providing direction and facilitating Agile ceremonies.
• Coordinate work planning, release activities, and overall Scrum execution.
• Own the Scrum workflow end to end, including upkeep of Scrum artifacts and the Scrum tool.
• Move assigned projects from initiation through implementation.
• Assist leadership with change management initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and put practical improvements into action.

What the role calls for

• A self-driven professional with strong analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and testing approaches.
• Hands-on familiarity with DevOps and Agile methods that encourage collaboration and flexibility in testing and development.
• Experience working with VersionOne or a similar work management platform.
• Strong grasp of the full SDLC and operating system concepts.
• Attention to detail, especially when reviewing payroll calculations and spotting issues that could create financial or compliance risks.
• Problem-solving ability to determine whether discrepancies come from system defects or input errors and to work with developers toward resolution.
• Clear communication skills for working with stakeholders such as Solutions Architects, Product Owners, managers, and developers.
• Good time management to keep testing schedules and payroll-related timelines on track.
• Focus on quality, timely delivery, expectation management, and lowering error-related risk to improve customer satisfaction.

Additional experience and knowledge

• Working knowledge of DevSecOps.
• Practical experience with Agile Scrum.
• Familiarity with VersionOne or an equivalent Agile project management tool.
• Knowledge of SDLC practices.
• Exposure to payroll systems and payroll processing.
• Mainframe knowledge is a plus.

Certification and education

• Scrum Master certification is required.
• A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent foreign credential is required from an accredited institution.
• Three years of progressive, relevant work experience may be accepted in place of each year of formal education.
• Candidates with a master’s degree are preferred.

Work conditions

The role involves extended periods of sitting and computer-based work. The person should be comfortable communicating by phone, email, and in person. Travel may be required based on business needs.

Compensation

The estimated annual pay for this position varies by location. In CA, WA, NY, CO, MD, IL, MN, NJ, VT, and MA, the range is $73,000 to $102,200. In Washington, DC, the range is $66,100 to $100,200.
