Role overview

Paladin Security is recruiting professional, service-oriented Security Guards for multiple client locations across London, Ontario. This role is suited to people who want to grow in the security field while developing practical experience in customer service, emergency response, and site protection.

Applicants should bring a polished professional manner, clear communication, good decision-making, and the ability to stay composed in pressured situations while safeguarding people, property, and assets.

Key duties

• Maintain the safety of assigned sites by monitoring security conditions and protective measures.
• Carry out regular patrols inside and outside the property to spot hazards, policy issues, or potential risks.
• Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, emergencies, and incidents.
• Support visitors, staff, and contractors during emergencies and crisis events.
• Contact and work with emergency services when the situation requires it.
• Help calm tense situations and assist with conflict resolution.
• Coordinate with police, fire, and paramedic teams during incidents.
• Provide first aid and medical support when needed.
• Manage lost and found property and related questions.
• Foster positive working relationships with client personnel, site visitors, and the public.
• Prepare incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required records.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by security leadership or client contacts.

Requirements and preferred background

Candidates must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence, a current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certificate from a WSIB-approved provider, proof of two COVID-19 vaccine doses, strong spoken and written English skills, current Use of Force certification, current Management of Aggressive Behaviour certification, and legal permission to work in Canada.

Helpful but not mandatory experience includes prior security work, a background in law enforcement, military, corrections, or another public safety field, strong customer service experience, and comfort working in fast-moving environments.

Compensation and benefits

The pay starts at CA$18.35 per hour, depending on the site.

Training program details

Applicants who do not yet have UOF and MOAB certification may complete Paladin Security's certification program before starting.

• Training expenses are fully covered by Paladin Security.
• A six-month employment commitment is required.
• Training time is unpaid.
