Role Overview

KIHOMAC is hiring a Senior Program Manager in Niceville, Florida. This full-time onsite role focuses on managing acquisition and program execution support for Department of Defense work, with an emphasis on cost, schedule, performance, risk, reporting, and leadership support.

Key Duties

  • Evaluate projects and program activity to identify strategies that support cost targets, schedule needs, and performance objectives.
  • Assist with initiatives aimed at reducing cost and shortening schedules across acquisition and development efforts.
  • Deliver program-level acquisition support to project managers and integrated product team leads so day-to-day execution stays on track.
  • Assess program status and recommend options that help leadership keep objectives on course.
  • Build and maintain program briefings and acquisition schedules for senior leaders.
  • Contribute to RFP package development, including statements of work, system requirements documents, contract data requirements lists, and related technical material.
  • Review acquisition artifacts such as ADMs, LCSPs, APBs, PMRs, and similar documents for alignment and correctness.
  • Prepare statutory and regulatory acquisition reports, milestone packages, and MARs.
  • Help implement acquisition processes in coordination with government stakeholders and prime contractors.
  • Apply program management guidance aligned to DoDD 5000.1, DoDI 5000.02, and applicable DoD and Air Force policy.
  • Spot policy gaps or conflicts and interpret guidance across acquisition activities.
  • Advise program managers on best practices that improve efficiency and reduce avoidable cost.
  • Support acquisition strategy work, market analysis, risk planning, and MTA/UCA efforts.
  • Coordinate scheduling support and risk management planning activities.
  • Maintain acquisition reports and documentation in systems such as CCaR, IDECS, and EDA.

  • Support mission execution through planning, analysis, event integration, execution, and reporting.
  • Oversee MPE system development and ensure it aligns with OFP testing and fielding requirements.
  • Review ECPs, RFPs, incentive clauses, and cost proposals for MPEC-II DOs.
  • Match EVM cost reports with IMS CDRLs and support risk assessments.
  • Provide directive and policy guidance to branch chiefs and project managers.
  • Support Mission Planning Independent Validation, FQT, and development evaluations.
  • Identify acquisition policy gaps and recommend practical management solutions.
  • Perform additional assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of general professional experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Department of Defense environment is required.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
  • An active Secret clearance is required.
  • Ability to occasionally reach with the hands and arms.
  • Comfort with extended periods of screen use while seated or standing at a desk.
  • Compliance with safety procedures in areas where PPE is required, including eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
