Role overview

This full-time, on-site Store Driver role in Athens, GA focuses on timely parts delivery, customer support, store upkeep, and helping drive sales for professional and walk-in customers.

What you will do

• Collect, prepare, and safely transport parts to professional customers.
• Retrieve returned items and core products.
• Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers while highlighting active promotions and loyalty initiatives.
• Handle daily collection efforts for credit accounts.
• Strengthen relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers and share delivery-based insights with the CPP.
• Support upselling and cross-selling efforts to help raise average order value.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including floors, restrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
• Complete general stocking tasks such as truck unloading, back stock organization, and cycle counts.
• Stay current on inventory and new products to better assist sales efforts.
• Speak with walk-in customers to understand their needs and guide them toward suitable parts or services.
• Take on other assigned duties as needed.

• Comfort using basic math across whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Availability to work different days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Confidence when engaging customers and promoting products.
• Willingness to learn new products and sales techniques.
• Automotive parts experience is preferred.
• Must hold a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical demands

This job is mainly performed while standing or walking. It requires frequent talking and hearing, using hands and fingers, reaching, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The role involves frequent lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting or moving of up to 100 pounds with assistance. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and depth perception as well as the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment

The role is primarily indoors, but it may occasionally require outdoor work in varying weather conditions, such as when installing batteries and wiper blades. There may also be occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, chemicals, electrical shock hazards, explosives, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.
