Storekeeper

Role overview

We are seeking a dependable and highly detail-focused Storekeeper to safeguard physical assets and keep inventory accurate. In this role, you will serve as the main point of control for stock handling, making sure all items—from raw materials arriving in the store to finished goods—are stored neatly, secured properly, and tracked with a high level of precision.

Compensation

The position offers a monthly net salary of N200,000.

Key responsibilities

• Check all incoming deliveries by comparing the quantity and quality of goods with purchase orders or delivery documents.
• Arrange items in an organized manner so stock can be retrieved easily and space is used efficiently.
• Keep stock cards, registers, and digital inventory records such as Excel or ERP systems updated every day for all stock movements.
• Apply stock rotation practices, including FIFO (First In, First Out), to preserve product freshness and reduce waste.
• Carry out regular stock counts on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis and match physical findings with system records to flag any differences.
• Track inventory levels and alert management early when items approach reorder points to avoid shortages.
• Prepare accurate goods received notes, requisition forms, and release notes.
• Maintain strict store access control and ensure restricted areas are opened only to approved personnel.
• Keep the warehouse clean, orderly, and safe while following all health and safety requirements.
• Report damaged or obsolete stock immediately and ensure disposal is handled according to instructions.

Requirements

The role requires strong attention to detail, good numerical ability, and prior experience in stock or warehouse operations. Candidates should be comfortable working with inventory documentation, maintaining accurate records, and identifying irregularities in counts or item conditions. Honesty and reliability are essential because the job involves handling valuable assets directly.
