Saatva is a direct-to-consumer company focused on mattresses and home furnishings, built on the belief that everyone should have access to healthy, restorative sleep. It is now the leading online luxury mattress brand in the United States, with 30+ viewing rooms across the country and a fast-growing retail presence.
The company describes itself as people-first and centered on the idea of total life success, encouraging team members to do well both personally and professionally. Its benefits package includes strong medical coverage, 401(k) matching, and generous paid time off.
Saatva has been recognized repeatedly for its growth and workplace culture, including seven appearances on the Inc. 5000 list, Great Place to Work certification, and honors from Fortune and BuiltIn.com.
Customer delight is a core priority. The company aims to be the most trusted, customer-centered brand in its category by helping people make informed decisions about mattresses, sleep, and sleep health. It also emphasizes luxury, eco-conscious products, 24/7 customer support, and continued retail expansion.
Role Overview
Saatva is looking for a strategic, operationally minded Talent Acquisition Manager to strengthen and improve its hiring function. As the business expands its physical footprint and customer service teams, this person will focus on making recruitment faster, smoother, and more efficient.
The position owns the talent acquisition process for more than 150 retail hires each year, along with a limited number of corporate roles. The manager will lead and coach a TA Coordinator, oversee external agencies, and stay directly involved in recruiting for important positions. A major goal of the role is to reduce hiring delays and cost per hire while protecting candidate quality and the overall applicant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Review current recruiting processes, remove slowdowns, and improve hiring speed while responding to concerns about turnaround time.
- Plan and run high-volume hiring for 150+ entry-level retail and customer service roles annually, keeping talent pipelines diverse, healthy, and aligned with store opening timelines.
- Own the recruiting systems workflow, including automation and accurate data flow between Greenhouse and ADP.
- Expand the interview training program for retail operations leaders so they can interview consistently, compliantly, and in a way that reflects the Saatva brand.
- Manage and develop a TA Coordinator, and assess staffing partners against strict standards for cost, quality, and delivery.
- Define, monitor, and present key recruiting metrics such as time to fill, cost per hire, and quality of hire to executive leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should bring at least 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, especially in high-volume settings such as retail, customer support, or hospitality. The role also requires 1–2 years of people management or mentorship experience. A history of process improvement and measurable operational gains is expected.
Strong technical ability with Greenhouse ATS is required, along with familiarity with ADP HRIS. The ideal candidate can streamline recruiting workflows through technology and automation, has a data-focused mindset, and has experience building or delivering interview training for managers and cross-functional teams. Candidates must also be skilled at balancing candidate experience, speed, and hiring efficiency without sacrificing results.
Work Location
This is a hybrid position with about three days per week of in-person collaboration. Candidates must live within commuting distance of one of Saatva’s hubs.
- For the NYC hub, Tuesday attendance is required at the Whitestone, Queens headquarters, plus two additional days each week at one of the NYC Metro Area viewing rooms.
Benefits and Compensation
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and their families.
- 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
- Paid vacation and time off to support rest and recovery.
- Eligibility for performance-based company bonuses.
- Access to FSA, HSA, and commuter benefits.
- Discounted gym membership, employee referral bonus opportunities, and meaningful discounts on Saatva products for employees, friends, and family.
The base salary is competitive and will be set according to experience, qualifications, and applicable state and local laws. The posted compensation range is $100,000 to $120,000 USD.
Work Authorization
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States, with no need for current or future sponsorship.
Equal Opportunity
Saatva is committed to building an inclusive workplace where people with different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences are welcomed and valued. All qualified candidates will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
