Role overview
This position sits within a Family Office in Doha and focuses on overseeing treasury operations that protect capital, support liquidity needs, and enable investment execution. The Treasury Manager will work closely with the CEO and Chief Investment Officer to ensure funds are allocated efficiently, banking relationships are well managed, and financial governance remains strong.
What you will do
- Create and put into action the treasury approach for the Family Office.
- Oversee cash positions and liquidity planning across several entities and investment vehicles.
- Develop and maintain productive partnerships with both local and overseas banks.
- Handle funding lines, borrowing arrangements, and capital deployment decisions.
- Coordinate financing needs tied to acquisitions and investment activity.
- Track and manage foreign exchange exposure as well as wider treasury risk.
- Review market conditions and advise on suitable treasury actions.
- Design treasury policies, internal controls, and governance standards.
- Partner with the CEO, Chief Investment Officer, and Finance Manager to facilitate investment execution.
- Prepare treasury reports and financial analysis to support senior leadership decisions.
Required profile
- Proven leadership experience in treasury roles within a corporate, investment, or family office environment.
- Strong Qatar market experience, along with an established banking network.
- Solid knowledge of liquidity management, funding, and capital allocation.
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of investment-related activity.
- Excellent ability to manage stakeholders and build long-term relationships.
- Must be able to work with complete discretion and strict confidentiality.
- Roughly 10 to 17 years of relevant professional experience.
- Self-driven, with clear potential for further career growth.
- Arabic language ability is preferred.
- Experience with family offices or private investment companies is preferred.
- Background in financing acquisitions and investment transactions is preferred.
- Exposure to European investment structures is preferred.
- Professional credentials such as ACT, ACA, ACCA, CFA, or an equivalent qualification are preferred.
- Experience working directly with CEOs, boards, or principals is preferred.
- Personal style should be commercially minded, strategic, relationship-oriented, trustworthy, discreet, analytical, practical, well organised, entrepreneurial, and highly ethical.
