Window Cleaning Operative

About the role

This position is for an experienced window cleaning operative to service retail sites across the Coventry area. A company van will be provided for work use only. The working schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm, although occasional flexibility will be needed to meet client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Complete assigned cleaning tasks promptly and safely in line with instructions from the supervisor or line manager.
• Check equipment regularly, keep it in safe working condition, and arrange servicing when required.
• Notify the supervisor or management of any defects or faults.
• Follow all company and client procedures, including health and safety, safe working methods, hygiene, cleanliness, fire safety, and COSHH requirements.
• Identify and report hazards in line with client and company procedures, such as blocked or locked fire doors.
• Escalate customer feedback, whether positive or negative, and take reasonable corrective action where possible.
• Report any accidents, fire, theft, loss, damage, or other unusual incidents immediately to the line manager or supervisor.

Candidate requirements

• Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• Previous window cleaning experience is required, with experience working at height or on tall buildings preferred.
• Ability to work independently with initiative, while also being comfortable following direction and working as part of a team.
• Professional conduct and attitude are expected at all times.
