Role Overview

The Contract Manager role is a full-time, on-site position in Abu Dhabi focused on managing the complete contract cycle for construction and infrastructure work. This position handles contract drafting, review, and negotiation, ensuring that agreements align with company policies, legal obligations, and client requirements. The role also monitors contract execution, manages changes and claims, and works closely with project, legal, finance, and procurement teams to address contractual matters. In addition, the role supports tendering and bid activities, prepares management reports, maintains accurate records, and communicates with clients, partners, and authorities to help secure approvals and keep projects moving smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full contract lifecycle for construction and infrastructure projects, from drafting through closeout.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts and subcontracts to ensure legal and commercial alignment.
• Track contract performance and identify issues related to scope, cost, time, and obligations.
• Handle variations, claims, and related contractual correspondence in coordination with project teams.
• Work with legal, finance, procurement, and project management teams to resolve contractual concerns.
• Conduct risk reviews and support mitigation measures for commercial and contractual exposure.
• Maintain complete and accurate contract files, records, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare reports and updates for management on contract status, risks, claims, and progress.
• Support tendering, bid evaluation, and contract award processes in an EPC or construction setting.
• Coordinate with clients, partners, and regulatory bodies to support communication and approvals.

Requirements

• Strong experience in contract administration and management, especially for engineering and construction projects.
• Ability to draft, review, negotiate, and monitor contracts and subcontracts effectively.
• Good knowledge of construction law, commercial conditions, claims handling, and dispute resolution.
• Experience with tendering, bid assessment, and contract award procedures in EPC or construction environments.
• Skilled in document control, report preparation, and use of contract or project management software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
• Professional certification in contract management or project management is considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities with close attention to detail.
• Capable of managing several contracts at the same time without losing accuracy.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Knowledge of Arabic or Chinese is helpful for working with regional stakeholders.
• Prior on-site experience in large construction or infrastructure projects is preferred, ideally in the Middle East.
• Familiarity with local regulations and standards is an advantage.
