AI Engineer (GenAI)

Job overview

This role is for an AI Engineer focused on building and embedding Generative AI solutions into enterprise products and business operations. You will work on solutions powered by large language models, create intelligent automations, and add AI-enabled capabilities across different platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Create and implement enterprise GenAI solutions built on large language models.
• Connect AI services to existing applications and systems using APIs.
• Design prompt engineering flows that improve accuracy and output relevance.
• Develop AI assistants, automation tools, and smart workflow solutions.
• Handle both structured and unstructured data for AI use cases.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather and refine AI requirements.
• Assist with deploying, tracking, and improving AI solutions after release.
• Maintain scalability, speed, and dependable performance of AI components.

Required skills and experience

• Hands-on experience developing applications with Generative AI or LLMs.
• Strong coding ability in a modern programming language such as Python, Java, or equivalent.
• Experience connecting APIs and backend systems.
• Working knowledge of core AI concepts including LLMs, embeddings, and prompt design.
• Experience in data handling, transformation, and processing.
• Familiarity with cloud-based software development.

Preferred skills

• Exposure to GenAI toolkits such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
• Understanding of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Familiarity with vector databases such as FAISS, Pinecone, or Weaviate.
• Awareness of AI deployment practices and containerization with Docker.
• Experience building enterprise AI solutions or chatbot-style applications.
