Business Development Manager - Uganda

Role Overview

This role is responsible for supporting Mamoru’s local setup and growth in Uganda while acting as a key on-the-ground representative. The position combines business development, relationship management, operational support, and local coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the establishment of the local entity, including FX broker accounts, exchange accounts, and onboarding with payment processors.
• Coordinate closely with the global operations team to manage day-to-day local operations.
• Serve as the local point of contact for building and maintaining relationships with banks, brokers, exchanges, merchants, and payment processors.
• Drive FX trading business development in the local market among high-net-worth investors, institutional investors, merchants, and individual traders.
• Keep informed about market movements, business opportunities, risks, and emerging projects, with strong interest in the FX and payments space.
• Serve as nominee director for the local entity when required.
• Manage administrative tasks for the local company.

Requirements

• Experience in banking or FX, along with a solid understanding of trading products and the full trade lifecycle.
• Must be a national of Uganda.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing business conditions and new responsibilities.
• Detail-focused, capable of multitasking, and able to manage multiple projects independently.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

Additional Information

This position includes responsibilities tied to local entity setup, operational coordination, external stakeholder management, and administrative support. The selected candidate may be appointed as nominee director for the local company.
