Key accountabilities
- Review and refine marketing and editorial copy to ensure clarity, consistency, and a unified brand voice across channels and formats.
- Edit a broad mix of materials such as blog articles, guides, reports, emails, webpages, advertisements, customer stories, and scripts.
- Apply and improve rules for grammar, style, tone, terminology, and editorial consistency across all deliverables.
- Turn technical or complex ideas into copy that is easy to understand, accurate, and engaging for the intended audience.
- Keep internal style documentation current by updating standards and editorial references as content practices change.
- Work closely with marketing, product, design, and regional teams to maintain accuracy and contextual fit.
- Help improve editorial operations, including intake handling, review queues, and quality checks, so the process can scale effectively.
- Support the adoption and optimization of AI-assisted writing and editing tools within the content workflow.
- Deliver a high volume of quality work while maintaining strong standards as output demands increase.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional copy editing experience across multiple formats and content channels.
- Background in marketing, communications, publishing, or another content-focused environment.
- Strong command of grammar, sentence structure, tone, and the ability to adapt voice for different audiences and formats.
- Experience working with cross-functional partners, including regional or global stakeholders.
- Ability to simplify complex ideas while preserving the original meaning and intent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, Creative Writing, or a related discipline.
- Excellent attention to detail, paired with a strategic approach to content quality and consistency.
- Preferred experience with B2B marketing content, technical writing, or product-focused content.
- Preferred familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Asana, or Jira.
- Preferred experience collaborating with design or creative teams.
