Role overview

Wabash is hiring a Driver in Griffin, Georgia. The role centers on safe, reliable movement of vehicles and support for production-related driving tasks while following schedules, instructions, and site safety practices.

Key duties

• Follow production schedules and carry out work instructions carefully.
• Keep a valid state-issued driver’s license current at all times.
• Operate vehicles of different sizes in tight areas while staying aware of surroundings and weather changes.
• Use strong communication to coordinate effectively with others.
• Work with limited supervision and maintain productivity independently.

Working conditions

This position is performed in an environment where safety, environmental, and health considerations require constant attention. The job may involve exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving machinery, and vibration. At times, job sites can be very noisy and may involve extreme temperatures. Employees on the production floor are required to wear the necessary personal protective equipment.

Physical requirements

The role involves being on your feet for most or all of the shift and regularly requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, leaning, pushing, climbing, sitting, and operating tools or controls. You must have full arm and hand mobility, good communication ability, close vision, the ability to adjust focus, and strong hand-eye coordination. Some workers may need to function in small spaces and lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
